hey guys! hope everyone is doing good! i just got back from parent/teacher conferences. i hate going to those things. josie, you don't have to do those in jr. high right? i feel like school expectations are so high. madison is an awesome reader, loves to read, will sit in her room reading without being told to - yet i go to meet with the teachers and they say her comprehension isn't up to par and she needs to read more. whatever.
that kid questionaire is so funny - i love the one about the mom works at work then works at home and the dad just goes to work!
i have two friends that are in haiti right now, they will be there for 3 weeks. one as a nurse and one as an interpeter. one of them called me last night and i asked her if she was ready to come home yet. she said are you kidding - i don't have to cook for anyone, clean up, no laundry, etc. so that just shows how hard it is to be a mom - when being in haiti treating people all day, watching/helping with amputations, helping deliver babies etc. is some sort of break from your "mom" life, well, that is pretty bad!!! i think she needs to get out more often, but maybe like go to the movies or something a little more low key. :)
