leslie - sorry to hear your so stressed. are you not being able to sleep - i don't think you have ever posted so late before! that is awesome about eric though. hopefully everything goes good on his next interview. if he goes to work for the fbi can i live vicariously thru him?
i have to say though that i would chose a sick kid hm for a week over a 15 year old grounded for a month. yes, that is my life right now! we are almost a week into the grounding and brandon is so bored he is resorted to just bugging everyone. the reason for the grounding - brandon has been busted for smoking. this is not his first offence. i caught him (smelled him) a few months ago. that time he got off with a warning and a long talk about why this is not a habit you want. i but i told him if he did it again his punishment would be major. so here we are. a month grounding, a month no phone and i told him if he wants to be a smoker i will show him how much it will cost him. so he is having $5 taken out of his acct. for the next 2 months ($300) and i am going to have him send it to some type of anti-tobacco organization. i have even made him go stand on the porch a few times just so that he would experience a little bit of what it would be like to be a smoker. too extreme?
so now that i have gotten started . . . when i took his phone (which i told him that if he was going to be a smoker he would not have the money to pay for a phone) i started going thru his texts with him sitting there. so there is a text from a girl that says, "hey i still want some dick :)" all he wrote back to her was "lol" - when i asked him about her he said she sents stuff like that to all his friends and that she is a gross annoying girl. so i can't help myself and i text back to her - this is brandon's mom. he got his phone taken away and knows that i am going thru it. you should be more careful with the texts you send - this makes you sound like a slut. i wish i could of seen the look on her face when she reads that one. anyways, (sorry this post is getting a bit long) - she sends another text a few days later that just says hi gorgeous. so i write back saying - again this is brandon's mom. i don't like him getting texts saying u want some dick. are u a hooker or just offering to get him off for free. okay, i know that is getting mean, but how dumb is she to send another text! she writes back that her friend has had her cell all weekend - i send back - yeah, i'm totally stupid - just stop texting him and maybe think about the messages your sending out to guys. i get back - okay, whatever. i wrote back - "seriously why would you want to come off sounding so easy. have some self respect. " maybe is am feeling a little bad for being so harsh with the hooker comment, just a little bad - so i throw in a more adult like comment. i get - okay, goodbye. so nothing since. maybe i only accomplished getting rid of one of these girls from sending this crap out. i don't know what i would do if i caught madison sending a guy these kinds of texts! okay i am done now. sorry about the long venting post!
