oh josey - i so remember those soccer days. those were the funniest games to watch. i wish i was back there now. i am living in a whole different world with our kids right now. last night i had to watch brandon's best friend be taken to the hospital because he was wasted on some type on incense that kids are getting high off of these days (it's called spice or black mamba). he was so high he didn't even realize the seriousness of it all. brandon was crying because he was so worried about him. luckily brandon didn't do any of it. the weirdest thing is that his friend smoked this stuff on wed. night, went to work yesterday, then last night all of a sudden he said he was feeling really weird and his arms were numb (on thurs. night). brandon thought he was having a stroke. they called the kids mom and she came and got them. i'm feeling so bad for her. they are having total financial problems and have no insurance. so this is just adding to it all. they didn't admit him to the hospital. but the dr. said they don't know much about this new drug the kids are doing, but he has seen cases that they can feel this numbness for a month or two and some have had seizures. brandon had hs registration today. so jordan did go. he was still so high. his mom had to leave so she asked me to take him home. he was all spacey and i nicely laid into him a little on the way home, letting him know how worried everyone was about him and when you take these things you never really know what your getting or what the outcome will be. immediately he got quiet and just put his head down. so after i dropped him off i called his mom to see how he was doing. she said he was just hanging out in his room and trying to sleep. i hope he is okay. he just isn't realizing how lucky he is to not be in a coma or something. i think brandon was more effected by it all emotionally than jordan was because he had to watch it and jordan probably won't even remember most of this. pretty scary. josey, have you heard of this stuff going around your school? so, basically i wish i was back watching my kids pick flowers during their soccer games. this teenage stuff gets so complicated!!!! for the most part it has been a great summer, but i'm ready for school to start again.
