Hey Les - I think you are being too hard on yourself. You are a great mom who loves Wylie to death and you tell him so, which is the most important thing.

There are pros and cons to being a cautious kid, but in the long run I think you are going to be glad he is. Fast forward to high school ( or jr high these days) when all the other kids are experimenting with drugs. Cautious Wylie will be less likely to do so ... Eric is the proof :).

The other thing is that he isn't overly cautious in my opinion ... he's no Andrew with his phobia of dirt!
