josie - the thing about licking doorknobs is so funny! hopefully it's just a phase and this will not continue into her teenage years. haha. since madison has started 6th grade she has decided that it is time to start wearing makeup (because she has to get ready for 7th grade). now she has black smudges under her eyes half the day. so i don't know which is worse - licking doorknobs, crying at preschool events, or smeared mascara on a 6th grader. madison was talking to her friend yesterday about the silly band craze and her friend was saying she didn't see what the big deal was. so madison says, "everybody wears them: college kids, adults, hs kids, even people in new york have silly bands." i am sure that knowing that new yorkers are wearing silly bands was enough convincing for her friend to run out and get some. so i don't know what has happened to my little tomboy girl. she hit 6th grade and is all girlie now. they had school pictures today and she took and hour to do her hair this morning.

so we know leslie labor day weekend was a success - how was everyone else's? nothing to exciting going on here.
